Job Description

Job Description :Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on EDI Mapping Specialist to accelerate trading partner onboarding and stabilize EDI connectivity during a high-urgency modernization and migration effort. This role focuses on building and troubleshooting EDI maps, supporting translation workflows, and improving onboarding speed through repeatable templates and automation-minded execution. Candidates must be true “doers” with deep mapping experience—not only integration/middleware generalists.

Our client has an urgent need for 3–5 strong EDI mapping resources (contract) with hands-on EDI mapping expertise, specifically capable of supporting a migration path from Trusted Link (TLI) to IBM ITXA / “ITX Advanced” and executing fast onboarding/changes within strict timelines.  This client emphasized that quality and hands-on mapping wins over years-of-experience labels, and that automation/self-service portal thinking is a key differentiator for winning longer-term work.

Immediate Request

What he needs

                • Role type: Contract roles (not FTE) — “as many people as you have, three, four, five.”

                • Profile: “EDI mappers… hands-on experience” (not just EDI-adjacent integration engineers).

                • Tooling / platform: Move from Trusted Link (TLI) to ITXA (IBM translator tool).

Key Responsibilities

                • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot EDI maps and translation logic across standard X12 transaction sets in high-volume environments.

                • Support platform transition work involving legacy EDI tooling and translation engines, including environments leveraging Trusted Link and IBM translation capabilities (ITXA experience strongly preferred).

                • Execute and improve trading partner onboarding processes (customers, suppliers, and financial partners) with a focus on speed, repeatability, and quality.

                • Create reusable mapping templates, validation rules, exception-handling patterns, and testing playbooks to reduce cycle time and rework.

                • Collaborate with onshore leads, cross-functional stakeholders, and partner IT teams to diagnose issues quickly and keep onboarding/operations moving.

                • Contribute to automation and self-service enablement concepts (portal thinking, standardized intake, repeatable workflows) to reduce long-term run-team size.

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)

                • Hands-on EDI mapping experience with core X12 supply chain transactions — candidates must have directly built and supported mappings for 850 (Purchase Order), 855 (PO Acknowledgement), 856 (ASN), and 810 (Invoice) in production (not just general EDI familiarity).

                • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mapping failures by analyzing the transaction content and map logic (not only middleware/connectivity layers).

                • Industry experience where those transactions are common — logistics, healthcare supply chain, distribution, or retail ecosystems (experience must show real trading-partner onboarding and production support).

                • Experience with enterprise EDI tooling ecosystems (e.g., IBM Sterling Integrator; familiarity with Trusted Link; ITXA exposure preferred).

Strong communication discipline: proactive status, clear explanations, and fast turnaround in business hours.

Required/Preferred Skills : Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

•            Healthcare supply chain, distributor, hospital-system, or similarly complex B2B trading partner ecosystems. (etc. Walmart, CVS)

•            Prior experience helping design or implement automation for onboarding (templating, repeatable workflows, improved testing/validation).

•            Experience supporting large trading partner populations and long-lived maps maintained over many years.

Performance Expectations (What Success Looks Like)

•            Shorten onboarding cycle time through improved mapping reuse, faster troubleshooting, an Demonstrate “automation-minded” execution: identify patterns across partner onboarding, recommend template standards, and reduce manual effort.

•            Operate with strong responsiveness during business hours to support stakeholders and partner IT teams.

Job Description

Ideally someone who doesn’t need to give a 2 weeks’ notice. They need these people to start in like a week and a half

NEED SOMEONE HERE THAT CAN HEAVILY LEVERAGE AI and has worked with Claude. Someone that is more legacy will not work out well here.

We're looking for a hands-on integration builder, not a configurator, with 8+ years of Oracle Cloud HCM integration experience. This person will design, develop, and deploy inbound/outbound integrations using HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, BI Publisher, OIC, and REST/SOAP APIs as part of a broader enterprise HCM initiative.

What makes this role different from a typical Oracle HCM posting:

  • We require demonstrated proficiency with the AI-assisted development tool, Claude. This is non-negotiable, we're building integrations at 2-3x traditional velocity and need someone who operates at that pace.
  • The candidate must be able to write XSLT, debug HDL load errors, and build OIC orchestrations,  not just talk about them.

Strong automation mindset, scripting, automated testing, self-documenting integrations

  • Can the candidate name specific HCM Extracts and HDL integrations they personally built (not team projects they observed)? Ask them to describe one end-to-end.
  • Can they explain the Oracle HCM data model, Person, Work Relationship, Assignment hierarchy, without hesitation?
  • Have they used AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, etc.) in their integration work? Ask for a specific example with measurable impact. "I've heard of it" is not sufficient.
  • Can they write or talk through XSLT, Groovy, or SQL relevant to HCM integrations on the spot?
  • Do they have hands-on OIC orchestration experience, not just connection setup, but end-to-end flows with error handling?

Role Summary:

We're looking for a hands-on integration builder, not a configurator, with 8+ years of Oracle Cloud HCM integration experience. This person will design, develop, and deploy inbound/outbound integrations using HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, BI Publisher, OIC, and REST/SOAP APIs as part of a broader enterprise HCM initiative.

  • Strong automation mindset, scripting, automated testing, self-documenting integrations.

JD

Role Summary

Design, build, deploy, and support high-throughput, AI-accelerated data exchanges between Oracle Cloud HCM and enterprise ecosystems, including payroll processors, benefits vendors, finance/ERP, identity & access management systems, data warehouses, and emerging AI/ML platforms. This role demands a builder's mindset: someone who doesn't just configure integrations, but engineers automated, self-healing, audit-ready pipelines that scale with organizational growth.

Core Responsibilities

1. Integration Design & Architecture

  • Partner with business systems analysts to translate functional requirements, data mappings, and integration use cases into scalable technical designs.
  • Architect inbound and outbound integration patterns using Oracle-native and hybrid approaches, HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, REST/SOAP APIs, FBDI, file-based integrations, and event-driven (Business Events / webhook) patterns.
  • Author comprehensive Technical Design Documents with data lineage diagrams, error-handling matrices, volumetric analysis, and SLA definitions.
  • Evaluate and recommend patterns based on data volume, latency requirements, and security constraints (real-time vs. batch vs. near-real-time).
  • Design for idempotency, retry logic, and graceful degradation, every integration must be resilient by default.

2. Integration Development & Build

  • Develop HCM Extracts (BIP-based and fast formula–driven) with optimized SQL and delivery configurations.
  • Configure BI Publisher templates for outbound file generation, CSV, XML, fixed-width, with dynamic parameter-driven formatting.
  • Build inbound data loads using HDL/HSDL with pre-validation logic, transformation layers, and automated error capture.
  • Develop integration orchestrations in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Gen 2/3 or equivalent middleware, connections, mapping, error handling, and scheduling.
  • Implement robust transformation and validation logic (cross-field validation, referential integrity checks, business rule enforcement) before data hits HCM, shift-left on data quality.
  • Configure encryption (PGP/GPG), compression, SFTP delivery, and content-server staging with automated file-naming conventions.
  • Build Business Events subscribers for real-time integration triggers (new hire, termination, job change events).

3. AI-Accelerated Development & Automation (New, Critical)

  • Leverage AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent) to accelerate XSLT/XSL-FO template development, Groovy scripting in OIC, and HDL file generation, achieving 2–3× velocity without sacrificing correctness.
  • Use AI to auto-generate unit test payloads, edge-case HDL files, and regression test datasets from existing data dictionaries and mapping specs.
  • Apply AI for rapid TDD/runbook authoring, draft technical design documents, error-handling procedures, and handover documentation from integration specifications with human review and refinement.
  • Build or adopt automated validation frameworks, AI-powered log parsers that triage HDL load errors, extract failures, and ESS job exceptions, surfacing root causes in minutes rather than hours.
  • Develop self-documenting integrations, automated generation of data flow diagrams, field mapping matrices, and change-impact summaries from code/configuration artifacts.
  • Create intelligent monitoring dashboards with anomaly detection for integration health, volume drift, timing anomalies, error rate spikes, not just reactive alert-and-fix.
  • Automate release note generation and commit message standardization for integration deployments.

4. Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Perform thorough unit testing with positive, negative, boundary, and volumetric test scenarios.
  • Support SIT and UAT cycles in close coordination with HCM functional and technical teams.
  • Build automated regression test suites for critical integrations, every deployment runs against a known-good baseline.
  • Validate data integrity end-to-end: source system → transformation → HCM staging → HCM tables → downstream consumers.

5. Troubleshooting & Production Support

  • Diagnose HDL load errors (entity-level, attribute-level, referential) using import process logs, HCM Data Loader monitoring, and UCM content inspection.
  • Troubleshoot HCM Extract failures, ESS job errors, BIP template issues, delivery channel failures, data-driven exceptions.
  • Support defect triage with root-cause analysis discipline, distinguish data issues from configuration issues from platform issues.
  • Automate recurring triage patterns, if you're solving the same category of issue three times, build a script or runbook that eliminates it permanently.

6. Compliance, Audit & Security

  • Ensure integrations meet SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, and internal audit standards, data masking, access controls, encryption at rest and in transit.
  • Maintain audit trail evidence: integration run logs, data transformation records, error resolution documentation.
  • Support audit evidence requests with pre-built, queryable integration audit packages, always audit-ready.
  • Implement data classification awareness in integration design, PII, PHI, and sensitive compensation data must have explicit handling protocols.

7. Cutover, Hypercare & Knowledge Transfer

  • Execute cutover integration runs with documented rollback procedures.
  • Support hypercare-phase issue resolution with defined escalation paths and SLA-driven response.
  • Provide structured knowledge transfer, recorded walkthroughs, decision trees, and operational runbooks.
  • Deliver comprehensive handover documentation: architecture diagrams, operational procedures, error-handling guides, and dependency maps.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • HCM Functional & Technical Consultants, requirements alignment, data model validation, configuration dependencies
  • Security & Identity Teams, SSO, role-based access, encryption standards, certificate management
  • Middleware / Integration Teams, OIC orchestration, API gateway policies, credential rotation
  • PMO & Release Management, deployment scheduling, change management, release readiness
  • Data & Analytics Teams, data warehouse feed design, OTBI/BIP reporting alignment, data lake ingestion patterns

Key Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years of hands-on Oracle Cloud HCM integrations development (not just configuration, actual build experience).
  • Deep understanding of the Oracle HCM data model, person, assignment, employment, position, organization, and payroll entities and their interdependencies.
  • Expert-level proficiency in HCM Extracts (BIP-based, fast formula, SQL-driven) and HDL/HSDL (all major business objects, including complex objects like Element Entries, Salary, Benefits).
  • Strong OIC Gen 2/3 or equivalent middleware experience, connections, orchestrations, mappings, error handling, scheduling, API-based integrations.
  • Fluency in XML, XSLT, XSL-FO, JSON, REST, SOAP, not just awareness, but the ability to write, debug, and optimize.
  • BI Publisher template development, RTF, XSL-FO, sub-templates, bursting configurations.
  • Strong debugging, log analysis, and root-cause analytical skills.

AI & Automation Proficiency (Critical)

  • Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent) to accelerate integration development, testing, and documentation.
  • Ability to write effective prompts for code generation, data transformation logic, test data creation, and documentation drafting.
  • Mindset of "automate the repetitive, focus human effort on the complex", measurable track record of reducing manual effort through scripting, tooling, or AI augmentation.
  • Familiarity with scripting for automation, Python, Shell/Bash, Groovy, or PowerShell for integration support tasks, file manipulation, and log analysis.

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience with Oracle Business Events for real-time integration triggers.
  • Knowledge of Oracle VBCS for lightweight integration UIs.
  • Familiarity with the Oracle Fusion REST API catalog, pagination, query parameters, expand patterns, bulk operations.
  • Experience with UCM/WebCenter Content for file staging and retrieval.
  • Understanding of Oracle EPM, ERP, or SCM Cloud integration touchpoints with HCM.
  • CI/CD awareness, version control for integration artifacts, environment promotion practices.
  • Experience supporting M&A or large-scale data migration integration scenarios.

What Sets an Exceptional Candidate Apart

  • You treat every manual process as a bug to be fixed, if it can be automated, you automate it.
  • You've used AI tools to cut a 3-day integration build to 1 day and can articulate exactly how.
  • You build integrations that operators can support without calling you, self-documenting, well-logged, clearly error messaged.
  • You think in data flows, not just file transfers, understanding upstream and downstream impact of every field you move.
  • You've been through at least one major Oracle Cloud HCM implementation or upgrade cycle end-to-end.
  • You can explain a complex integration architecture to both a developer and a VP in the same meeting.

This role is designed for someone who combines deep Oracle HCM integration expertise with a modern, AI-augmented engineering mindset, delivering enterprise-grade integrations at startup speed.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Product Development, Hardware Design, System Integration, Verification and Validation, Embedded Firmware and Controls, Digital Apps and Frameworks, and external software and hardware vendors.

Job Description

Role Overview

Client has a firmwide mandate to exit/minimize all datacenters by 2030. Core Engineering is the platform backbone enabling this shift. We’re searching for an elite AWS Architect to lead a 4‑person engineering pod (Architect + Tech Manager + 2 Sr. Cloud Engineers) delivering repeatable migration patterns, secure landing zones, and multi‑team adoption across BUs—no hand‑holding.

This is not a junior or mid‑level role. The architect must be equally strong in design and hands‑on leadership, with a proven track record of moving complex, regulated workloads and data to AWS at enterprise scale.

What You Will Lead & Deliver

  • Architecture & Team Leadership
    • Technical lead for the 4‑person pod; mentor, review, unblock; drive delivery cadence.
    • Convert business/regulatory constraints into platform designs and migration plans.
  • Platform & IaC (CDK‑forward)
    • Author AWS CDK constructs (TypeScript/Python) for network, identity, logging, encryption, data foundations; manage CDK Pipelines across accounts/environments.
    • Define versioning/deprecation strategy for constructs; ensure frictionless consumption by 10–20+ teams.
  • Security & Compliance (bank‑grade)
    • Enforce least‑privilege IAM, permission boundaries, SCPs, key policies (KMS), private endpoints, guardrails.
    • Centralize CloudTrail/GuardDuty/Security Hub; codify controls as policy‑as‑code; maintain evidence.
  • Migration Execution (Apps + Data)
    • Drive discovery, wave planning, and execution using AWS migration tooling:
      • Workloads/servers: AWS MGN (CloudEndure), Migration Hub, ADS.
      • Databases/data: DMS, SCT, DataSync, Snowball Edge/Snow Family, S3 Transfer Acceleration, Glue ETL.
      • Stateful cutovers: blue/green, canary, DNS strategies; performance baselines and smoke tests.
  • Connectivity / Networking
    • Design Direct Connect/VPN, routing, VPC topologies, endpoint policies, NACL/SG strategy; multi‑region HA/DR.
  • Observability & Operations
    • Implement CloudWatch/OTel, metric/trace/log standards; error budgets, runbooks; define SLO/SLIs for shared services.
  • FinOps & Cost Controls
    • Establish tagging standards, cost allocation, rightsizing; RI/SP strategy; dashboards and alerts.
  • Adoption Enablement (MAP KPI)
    • Publish reference architectures, docs/playbooks, sample repos, workshops/office hours; track adoption KPIs.

Required Experience

  • 15+ years overall; 10+ years deep AWS architecture in regulated (bank/DoD/health) environments.
  • Led ≥3 large enterprise migrations (100s of servers and multi‑TB data) including plan → migrate → cutover → hypercare.
  • Built multi‑account platforms with Control Tower/Organizations, SCPs, IAM SSO, and centralized logging & security.
  • Hands‑on CDK (not just Terraform): authored reusable constructs adopted by multiple teams, with CDK Pipelines.
  • Demonstrated audit readiness: control mapping, Config rules, exceptions workflow, evidence packs.

Required Certifications (must be current or recently lapsed)

  • AWS Solutions Architect – Professional (required)
  • AWS Security – Specialty(required)
  • AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional(strongly preferred)
  • AWS Advanced Networking – Specialty(preferred for DX/VPC design)

Nice‑to‑have:AWS Database – Specialty or Data Analytics – Specialty (DMS/SCT strategy), CKA/CKAD (EKS‑adjacent).

Core Technical Skills (must‑have depth)

  • AWS CDK (TypeScript/Python), CDK Pipelines, CloudFormation; Terraform literacy welcome but CDK is primary.
  • Security: IAM/SCPs/permission boundaries, KMS (envelope encryption), Secrets Manager, S3 bucket & endpoint policies, private subnets, WAF/Shield, detective controls.
  • Networking: VPC design, Transit Gateway, DX/VPN, routing, multi‑region failover.
  • Data & Migration: DMS, SCT, DataSync, Snowball, S3 transfer strategies, RDS/Aurora patterns, schema conversion, replication lag/cutover.
  • Workload Migration: AWS MGN, image/agent planning, dependency mapping, perf baselines, blue/green cutover.
  • Observability & Ops: CloudWatch, metrics/logging, runbooks, chaos/failover testing, MTTR/MTTD improvements.
  • FinOps: tagging, cost allocation, RI/SP, dashboards.

Soft Skills

  • Executive presence; crisp communicator with architects, security, and BU leaders.
  • Bias to action; operates independently, sets and meets aggressive timelines.
  • Pragmatic decision‑maker; documents tradeoffs, risks, and mitigations.
  • Coaches senior engineers; raises the team’s bar.

Team You’ll Lead (4‑person pod)

  • You — Senior AWS Architect (Lead)
  • 1 Technical Manager / Lead Engineer
  • 2 Senior AWS Cloud Engineers (CDK‑capable)

You own architecture, backlog, code reviews of CDK modules, security posture, migration wave plans, and MAP adoption.

Knockout Criteria (use for fast screening)

  • No AWS SA‑Pro and Security Specialty
  • No enterprise CDK (constructs + CDK Pipelines adopted by multiple teams)
  • Never led multi‑wave app + data migrations with cutover in regulated environments
  • Can’t articulate audit evidence (Config/Security Hub/Control Tower + exceptions/remediation)
  • Won’t work onsite 5 days/week in Dallas

What “Great” Looks Like (candidate signals)

  • Describes a recent datacenter‑exit program with wave plans, RTO/RPO, and rollback proof.
  • Shows a CDK construct library they authored and how it was versioned/deprecated without breaking teams.
  • Explains DX/VPN design, endpoint policies, private S3/Dynamo access, and cross‑account patterns.
  • Produces a sample evidence pack story (control → rule → alert → ticket → remediation → audit trail).
  • Quantifies MAP‑style adoption: “14 teams onboarded in 5 months; TTFD cut from 3 weeks to 4 days.”
